Dan Schoeni is the NCR Distinguished Professor of Law and Technology at the University of Dayton School of Law and an adjunct in George Washington University’s Government Procurement Program.  He studied at Brigham Young University (B.A. philosophy), the University of Iowa (J.D./M.A., philosophy), George Washington University (LL.M., government procurement), and the University of Nottingham (Ph.D., public procurement).  He recently retired after 21 years on active duty as a judge advocate with the U.S. Air Force, where he worked as a prosecutor, trial and appellate defense counsel, program counsel, and staff judge advocate, deployed twice, and served in various security cooperation roles.  He has published on a variety of government contracts subjects, and his writings have won several awards, including the ABA Standing Committee on Armed Forces Law’s Keithe E. Nelson award.
