The Danish Institute for Human Rights

Daniel Morris is an adviser at the Danish Institute for Human Rights. He has an academic background in law and human rights. He works to support states, national human rights institutions and other relevant stakeholders to integrate human rights in public procurement. He authored the Toolkit "Driving change through public procurement: A toolkit on human rights for policy makers and public buyers". He engages with international and regional policy level development agencies, to ensure that the social element in SDG indicator 12.7.1 on sustainable public procurement reflects international human rights standards. He also works at the national level to support states and public buyers implement human rights protections in day-to-day procurements.
