Keith Snider is Professor Emeritus and former Dean of the Graduate School of Defense Management at the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) in Monterey, California. Dr. Snider earned a Bachelor of Science degree at West Point and served on active duty in the US Army for twenty years, retiring at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He received a Master of Science degree in Operations Research from NPS, and a PhD in Public Administration and Public Affairs from Virginia Tech. He has authored and co-authored numerous publications on public procurement, defense acquisition, and public adminsitration. His awards include the NPS Hamming Award for Achievement in Interdisciplinary Activities, the Khi V. Thai Research Scholar of the Year from the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing, and the US Navy’s Superior Civilian Service Award.
